Default Fire Some Devs

How many hours went into developing the heroes and their ai? What about hero battles and being able to observe them? How much did that cost? How about the loot scaling changes? How many man-hours went into that masterpiece? etc...etc..etc..
Why shell out all this money for stuff noone wants or likes. Some new maps, armour/weapon skins and some well balanced skills/classes. Wtf is the problem?
Heck then you wouldnt have to staff pr ppl to obfuscate unwanted and uneeded changes. I dont want % of my money paying Gale Grays salary, i want new swords and staffs, new f'n arena maps, pvp and not pvp/ai. Could even buy some new hardware. Take a poll, players want more heroway lameness or better ping(i know the answer). So fire half the staff, that way youll be to understaffed to f the game up. New skins, new skills, new maps repeat.....nothing else..you guys have been put on notice. Sometimes i cut myself.

If they would only put in what YOU want then they would loose over half the fanbase so try not to be so egoistic and realise OTHER ppl do like other things. And they have stated before that some changes are made because they feel they are needed, there can always be discussions about that but it is still their decision to make.

I fear the human race sometimes...

So some features are added that you don't want, and others are not added that you would want. Surprise, surprise. That's the case with anything. There's a Rolling Stones song that applies here:

"You can't always get what you want"

What a boring game you want Guild Wars to be. New skins and maps are all well and good, but there needs to be new features, otherwise people get bored - it's just the same thing they played last year but looks different.

Even without the monthly fee, the Hero AI is still pretty unacceptable.

Heroes are the best thing to happen to this game since I bought Factions (Factions being my first personal GW title).

The fact that Heroes can have builds you choose and runes, insignia, weapons/off-hands with abilities makes them a godsend in my opinion. At the very least, they're better than Henchmen, and considering that the average pug has disagreements between players (even if not voiced), which tend to break whatever strategy the team leader set out to use, henchmen are better than pugs even though they don't have runes/insignia/bonuses on their weapons/subpar skill bars.

Yay another "If anet was smart enough to do (insert random thing here) the game would be good" thread. If you don't like the game then do us a favor and quit so we don't have to read pointless rants.

I'm not disregarding their usefullness. I use them 100% of the time.

What I'm saying is their AI, even though it gets the job done, sucks. The fact that I have to single out certain skills because the Hero uses them poorly is just unacceptable.

When you see Olias run back, past the radar, to exploit some corpse you left back there in the middle of a fight, you know the AI needs work.

So you'd like the Heroes to read your mind? Wouldn't that be neat.

So what, the Heroes aren't perfect. Big deal. It makes the game more challenging, which is never a bad thing. Besides, I'm sure the devs would much rather you play with real live people than Heroes anyway. If they made the Heroes as good as other players, then there'd be nobody joining up with strangers and making new friends. You envision a very boring game.

There's about 100 fires going on in the Western US, and the OP wants to get himself flamed? There's a 30,000 acre fire up in Montana you could visit instead - it's right near a highway, so getting to it wouldn't require any hiking.

Hero ai seems to be downgraded enemie ai imo, but beats most Human intelligence as stated before. (+ they got godly reflexes can always calculate if that enemie meets a skills condition and can easily target any minion)

wich is kinda sad, that the standard enemies are smarter then a large part of the gw players....

but i agree that reskins are a definite "Do not want" we don't want to spend money on new items/armor we can even make with texmod -_-

I don't see why the OP is ranting...

get a life. there are millions more beautiful things in life than GW. Go out and enjoy the nature.
GW is just a game.

PLUS, if ANet fired half of its staff it'll be 'understaffed' to make us anymore good changes.
